Self-Hosted Group Retreats at The Hatch

For groups who prefer a hands-on, do-it-yourself style retreat, the Hatch Cabin offers a flexible, comfortable meeting and dining space. With two kitchens, a large lower-level gathering room, outdoor grill, and a private fire pit, it’s ideal for groups who want to cook, gather, and host in their own way — all while enjoying Tailwaters Lodge’s riverfront setting and outdoor activities.

The Hatch is the perfect space for groups who enjoy cooking together and running their own gathering, while still taking advantage of Tailwaters Lodge’s excellent location, river access, and outdoor activities.

Catering Options for DIY Groups

Whether you want a fully catered meal, a fresh meal waiting in the cabin, or you’d prefer to cook for your group, Tailwaters Lodge offers flexible food options to fit your stay. Meals can be mixed and matched — enjoy a private chef one evening, then a delivered meal the next.

Call 423-573-3999 or email info@tailwaterslodge.com to arrange catering. Orders must be placed 4 days before arrival; group numbers finalized one week prior.

Private Chef Experience

A private chef will prepare or grill your meal directly in the cabin. All setup and cleanup are included. The chef arrives at 5 PM, dinner is served at 6 PM, and cleanup concludes by 7 PM. Entrées include sides and dessert. Appetizers available upon request.

  • Ribeye with Cabernet Wild Mushroom Sauce, Fingerling Potatoes, Hot Honey Brussels

Drop-Off Dinners & Breakfasts

Freshly prepared meals delivered to your cabin’s refrigerator before your arrival. Just heat, serve, and enjoy. Each dinner includes sides and dessert; breakfasts include biscuits.
