Journeys, they bring us places. A simple statement that can be applied to my trip to the grocery store to get mini-m&m’s or my most recent move across the country. Both are important in their purpose, however one took a bit more gas and had more car karaoke. My life journey, we will call it, has landed me in Bristol, TN where I have joined my Aunt Paula and Uncle Bruce at Tailwaters Lodge as their property manager. I’m no stranger to relocating, but with each move it means exploring a new area, learning a new culture and pace of life, and meeting new people. Each week I am tasking myself to get out and try a new trail for a hike or run, enter a new shop to peruse the offerings of local talent, or dive into a dish/cold one from an eatery nearby. I hope this blog will offer our lodgers who are traveling into town a glimpse at what the area has to offer. And if you’re part of the local community, I hope my explorations here show my gratitude for this beautiful place I now get to call home. Hello, I am Nicole… and I am new here.
